The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is offering an exciting opportunity for international students through the International PhD Stipend and Fee Scholarship (DPHD). This prestigious scholarship supports international students pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2025, aligning with UniSQ’s flagship research areas. This scholarship offers financial assistance for tuition fees and living expenses while students contribute to world-class research initiatives.
Benefits
- Stipend: AUD $35,000 per annum for living costs.
- Tuition Fees: Covered for up to three years of full-time study (any prior study time towards the PhD will be deducted from this period).
- Industry Internship: Minimum of 60 days for students in the Industry Stream.
- Additional Support: Scholarships are also available for women in STEM and students with disabilities.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have completed a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours or an equivalent qualification.
- Be eligible for full-time, on-campus enrollment in the UniSQ PhD program.
- Be an international student (not a citizen or permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand).
- Commence or continue their PhD studies in 2025.

For the Industry Stream, a Letter of Support from the industry partner must be submitted. Continuing students must be within 18 months of commencing their studies full-time (or 36 months part-time) by December 2024 to be eligible.
