AIT Royal Thai Government Scholarships 2025 For International Students:

The AIT Royal Thai Government Scholarships (2025) are now accepting applications from domestic and international students in Thailand (Fully Funded). The fellowship is available to students enrolled in Masters or PhD programs in any of the subjects offered by Asian Institute of Technology.

Financial Benefits:

  • Scholarship Coverage for PhD Programs: For a period of 41 months (7 semesters), the scholarship pays for living expenses, housing, tuition, and registration fees. The approximate value of each scholarship is 1.96 million Thai Baht (MB).
  • Master’s Program Scholarship Coverage: Each scholarship is valued at about 1.10 million Thai Baht (MB) and covers living expenses, housing, and tuition for a period of 22 months.

Scholarships offered by the Royal Thai Government:

1. His Majesty the King’s Scholarships for Doctoral Programs

Candidates with exceptional academic records who want to study for a Ph.D. in any subject provided by AIT’s School of Engineering and Technology (SET) and School of Environment, Resources, and Development (SERD) are eligible for these scholarships. The following regions are the focus of the scholarships:

  • Bhutan, Laos PDR, and Timor-Leste
  • ASEAN countries

2. His Majesty the King’s Scholarships for Master’s Programs

This scholarship helps students who want to attend AIT’s School of Engineering and Technology (SET) or School of Management (SOM) to pursue a master’s degree and have demonstrated outstanding undergraduate success.

3. Her Majesty the Queen’s Scholarships for Master’s Programs

These scholarships are intended for students who have demonstrated excellence in their undergraduate studies and who wish to pursue a master’s degree in one of the School of Environment, Resources, and Development’s (SERD) environmental programs.

4. Loom Nam Khong Pijai (GMS Scholarships) for Master’s Programs

These scholarships, which are awarded in recognition of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, are intended to improve human resource development in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS), which encompasses Southern China (Yunnan and Guangxi provinces) as well as Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Thailand. The award funds educational initiatives in:

Requirements for Doctorate Program Eligibility:

  • A minimum GPA of 3.5 in programs leading to undergraduate and graduate degrees from recognized universities.
  • Two letters of recommendation.
  • A suggestion for research.
  • IELTS 6.0 or AIT EET ≥ 6.0 as the measure of English competence.

Master’s program eligibility requirements:

  • A minimum GPA of 3.5 in an authorized four-year undergraduate program.
  • IELTS 6.0 or AIT EET ≥ 6.0 as the measure of English competence.
