Shandong University 2024 Undergraduate Preparatory Scholarship For International Students:
We are pleased to announce the start of Shandong University’s (SDU) Undergraduate Preparatory Scholarship Program for 2024. Supporting international high school graduates with their college studies is the program’s main goal. This comprehensive program provides rigorous Chinese language instruction together with a strong academic foundation for six months to a year. To ensure that students are prepared for their future studies, the curriculum includes professional Chinese language training, major preparation, Chinese language courses, and HSK skill improvement.
Applicants for the program must be foreign nationals in good health and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent. For the one-year program starting in September 2024, no prior Chinese language proficiency is required; for the one-semester program starting in February 2025, an HSK 3 certificate is needed. Scholarships like the Chinese Government Scholarship, Shandong University Scholarship, and International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship are available to students who perform very well academically. Applications will be accepted for the one-year program from March 15, 2024 to June 30, 2024, and the one-semester program from October 15, 2024 to December 31, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria:

- International applicants must be in good physical and mental health.
- Applicants should be friendly toward China and hold a valid passport from their own country.
- Applicants must not have a history of criminal convictions.
- Applicants must hold a high school diploma or a qualification that is comparable.
2. Language Requirements
- It is not necessary for applicants to have spoken Chinese before September 2024 in order to be considered for the full academic year program.
- To be eligible for the one-semester program starting in February 2025, applicants must show that they have completed HSK Level 3 with a score greater than 180.
3. Compliance
- This program complies with the Ministry of Education’s Notice on Regulating Admission of International Students in China’s Higher Education Institutions.
