1. Provincial Scholarship:

3. Liyuan International Scholarship:
- First Class: Tuition waiver + living allowance of 6,000 RMB/month.
- Second Class: Tuition waiver + living allowance of 5,000 RMB/month.
- Third Class: Tuition waiver + living allowance of 4,000 RMB/month.
- Supervisors also provide an annual allowance of 12,000 RMB for international doctoral candidates to support research activities or academic exchanges.
Documents Required:
The following paperwork needs to be ready and submitted by applicants:
- Master’s Diploma and Certificate: Those who have not yet completed their education are required to provide a pre-graduation certificate, which will be examined upon enrollment.
- Passport Copy: A copy of the information page plus a passport-sized picture.
- Resume: An extensive curriculum vitae covering elementary school to the present.
- Form for Physical Examination of Foreigners.
- Noncriminal Record Report: Chinese translation and original text.
- Scholarship Application: Please fill out the appropriate form if you’re interested in applying for the Guangdong Government Scholarship.
- Language Proficiency Certificate: HSK or, if appropriate, English proficiency certificate.
- Transcripts: The entire master’s program transcript.
- Statement of Self: a 1500 word self-statement outlining academic accomplishments, studies and job experience, planned major, and supervisor.
- Two recommendation letters: One in Chinese and one in English, from professors or associate professors are required.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality: Applicants must be in good physical and mental health and non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport. They must also follow Shenzhen University’s regulations as well as Chinese law.
- Candidates must meet the following educational requirements: a master’s degree or above. If you haven’t graduated yet, you should include a copy of your anticipated diploma with your application. Prior to enrollment, official diplomas must be presented. Candidates had to be younger than forty years old.
- Language Proficiency: Candidates must fulfill the following language prerequisites:
- Chinese language programs taught: HSK 5 with a score higher than 180.
- English-language programs: a legitimate certificate of English proficiency.
After being confirmed by the institution, native speakers of Chinese or English may not need to submit competence certifications.
