Financial Benefits:

A fully paid, intensive experience in the US is provided to chosen individuals. The following expenses are covered by TechWomen:

  • Airfare for round-trip travel to the United States from the participant’s home country.
  • Domestic travel to Washington, D.C. from Chicago or San Francisco.
  • Housing in Chicago or the San Francisco Bay Area during the mentorship period.
  • Meals and extras while the program is in progress.
  • Lodging during the section in Washington, D.C.
  • Taking public transit to the host organization.

Eligibility Criteria:

In order to be eligible for TechWomen, candidates need to fulfill the following requirements:

  • At the time of application, possess a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a STEM discipline. This rule does not apply to unpaid labor or internships.
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree, or a four-year university degree that is comparable.
  • Be fluent in both verbal and written English.
  • Algeria, Cameroon, Egypt, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestinian Territories, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Yemen, or Zimbabwe are among the nations in which you must be a citizen and a permanent resident.
  • Qualify for a J-1 exchange visiting visa to the United States.
  • Have not submitted an application for a U.S. immigrant visa during the previous five years, with the exception of the Diversity Visa.
  • Not be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
