- The most crucial step is the second one. Because this phase requires you to locate universities based on your interests and major. Locate universities and compile a list with the following details: application fee, major language, university ranking, and last date. Follow these steps to apply after locating the universities.
- Then, to view the deadline and application process, visit the university’s official website and locate the Chinese Government Scholarships notification. Perhaps the university has other requirements, such as information about the online application portal and an application cost (most don’t). Certain institutions have their own format for the study plan, recommendation letter, and admission letter, and they require university forms.
- Here, you can attempt contacting the university’s professor to get an acceptance letter for your master’s or doctoral research supervision. An acceptance letter is not required. It’s the sole benefit. You do not need an acceptance letter to apply. Therefore, don’t panic if you don’t receive an admission letter.
- Keep in mind that there is fierce competition among highly ranked universities, so don’t limit your attention to them. High-ranked universities require an acceptance letter, but keep in mind that this does not guarantee a scholarship.
- You can apply to two Type A universities (apply through the Chinese embassy in your native country) and a maximum of three Type B universities (apply directly to the university).
- Applying for a scholarship and admission can be done simultaneously.
-
Apply for a scholarship:
