Scholarship Overview

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must originate from the Niger Delta region.
  • Age limit: Must not be older than 40 years.
  • Academic requirement: Applicants must hold a First Class Degree or a Second Class Upper/Lower Division.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted online through the NDDC’s official website: NDDC Scholarship Application Portal. Required documents include:

  • A recent passport photograph
  • Local Government identification letter
  • Postgraduate admission letter from a recognised overseas university
  • Relevant degrees from recognised universities
  • NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate

After completing the application, you will receive a registration number and should print a hard copy of the acknowledgment for future reference.

 

 

Selection Process

  1. Initial Application: Submit your application online.
  2. Preliminary Shortlisting: Based on WASSCE/NECO results, local government identification, and undergraduate degree classification.
  3. Computer-Based Test (CBT): Shortlisted candidates will take a CBT conducted in Rivers State, requiring a minimum score of 70% to proceed.
  4. Further Shortlisting and Final Verification: Involves checks through the Local Government Area (LGA) and Community Development Committee (CDC).
