For its eagerly awaited 2025 Undergraduate Scholarships Program, the Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) has formally launched the application process. For Filipino students, this program provides a fantastic opportunity to follow their aspirations in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) sectors.
Now, prospective students can easily apply online at science-scholarships.ph via the E-Scholarship Application System. To ensure a seamless process, applicants must have a working mobile number, a valid email address, and a dependable internet connection.
This program is an investment in the future of Filipino kids, especially those who have potential in STEM professions, and goes beyond simple financial aid. Financial Benefits:
Those who are accepted can enroll in DOST-accredited private universities or state universities to take priority science and technology courses. The following advantages will be granted to them:
- Tuition Subsidy: ₱20,000 per semester for students in private universities.
- Monthly Stipend: ₱8,000 for 10 months of the academic year.
- Book Allowance: ₱5,000 per semester.
- Thesis Allowance: ₱10,000 as an outright grant.
- Transportation Allowance: For those studying outside their home province.
- Clothing Allowance: One-time allowance for first-year scholars.
- Graduation Allowance: Upon program completion.
Eligibility Criteria:
All Grade 12 students graduating in the academic year 2024–2025 are eligible to apply for the scholarships. Applicants who qualify must:
- Be citizens of the Philippines by birth.
- Be healthy and of high moral character.
- Not have any post-secondary units earned or be enrolled in college.
Two categories of scholarships are offered:
- RA 7687 Scholarship: For talented students from economically disadvantaged families.
- Merit Scholarship: For students with high aptitude in science and mathematics, regardless of socio-economic status.
