HEC Chinese Government Scholarship 2025-26 For Pakistani Students:

The HEC Chinese Government Scholarship for 2025–2026 in China is open for applications. This scholarship from the HEC Chinese Government is fully funded. All Pakistani students who wish to pursue undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degrees at Chinese universities are eligible to apply for the HEC Scholarship in China. The scholarship is offered for the 2025–2026 school year.

For scholarship awardees at all levels, the Chinese Scholarship Council offers nearly every academic discipline and major, including science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, economics, legal studies, management, education, history, literature, philosophy, and fine arts. Financial Benefits:

All costs and expenditures incurred during the Chinese government scholarship will be covered by HEC. What will be covered by the Full Chinese Scholarship is:

  • All Tuition Fee Waiver, Administration Cost, Application Fee.
  • Free Accommodation in the University.
  • Monthly Stipend:
    • Bachelor’s Students: CNY 2,500 per Month.
    • Master’s Students/General Scholars: CNY 3,000 per Month.
    • Doctoral Students/Senior Scholars: CNY 3,500 per Month.

Documents Required:

Please take note that in order to apply for the HEC Chinese Government Scholarship, all of these documents must be uploaded online. At this point, hard copies of the applications are not needed. Applications that are incomplete or submitted by hand will never be accepted.​

  • Copies of the applicant’s and the guardian’s or father’s CNIC.
  • A copy of the applicant’s home.
  • A copy of the HEC online form that was submitted.
  • From matriculation to the final terminal degree, all academic degrees and transcripts HEC and IBCC attest to this.
  • Chinese Online Application Form
  • Chinese Government Scholarship Universities’ pre-admission letter (not required)
  • A copy of the information page from a valid passport.
  • Two original recommendation letters. (Only for Masters and Ph.D.)
  • A pair of recent passport-sized photos.
  • The applicant’s statement of purpose is in two copies.The Chinese quarantine authority’s health/fitness certificate is available for download here.
  • Record from the police department that is not criminal.
  • Shortlisted candidates must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer in order to be considered for employment.

Eligibility Criteria:

The following are the basic requirements for Pakistani students to be eligible for the HEC Chinese Government Scholarship:

  • The applicant must be an AJK or Pakistani national.
  • For undergraduate programs, candidates must have completed 12 years of education (FA/FSc or equivalent A-level) before the age of 25.
  • For Master’s programs, candidates must be under 35 years old and hold a bachelor’s degree.
  • For doctoral programs, candidates must be under 40 years old and hold a master’s degree.
  • Applications that are not comprehensive will not be considered.
  • Students must apply online at Chinese universities and through the HEC Portal.

Application Process:

For the HEC Chinese Government Scholarship, apply online at Chinese universities and on the HEC Portal. The Higher Education Commission has provided the entire application process below:

  • Visit http://scholarship.hec.gov.pk to apply online. Please choose “Learning Opportunities Abroad” once you have registered and filled up your profile. Once the application has been submitted, obtain a printed copy for the applicant to sign. On December 9, 2024, at 23:59 PM Pakistan Time, the HEC online application platform will close.
  • Please update your HEC profile with your most recent email address and cell phone number before applying. The online application system will be quite active in the days preceding the application deadline, so it is recommended that you finish and submit your application as soon as possible. Once the application has been successfully submitted through the HEC portal, keep a paper copy of the application form that you have personally signed.
  • Please visit https://etc.hec.gov.pk/#/login to view the deadline and submit an online application for the USAT (undergraduate) and HAT (masters & PhD) tests. You can submit your HAT or USAT results on the HEC portal while submitting your application if you already have a valid score.
  • Apply online using program Type: A and Agency No. 5861 at the CSC website at http://www.campuschina.org/ or http://www.csc.edu.cn. Get a copy of the completed application from the Chinese Scholarship Council website, print it out, and keep a signed copy for yourself.
