Humboldt Residency Scholarship 2025 For International Students:

Applications for the 2025 Humboldt Residency Program are now being accepted! This esteemed six-week residency provides an unmatched chance to investigate the future of food in a transdisciplinary and global setting if you have a strong interest in sustainability, innovation, and societal change.

Twelve outstanding people—including researchers, authors, artists, and social entrepreneurs—are brought together annually by the Humboldt Residency Program to work closely on a single topic. “The Future of Food,” the residence theme for 2025, focuses on important subjects such global health issues, food innovation, sustainability, and cultural ties.

In Brandenburg/Berlin, participants will work together every day in common areas to create innovative concepts and significant solutions. The program’s objectives are to interact with global stakeholders, create interdisciplinary networks, and promote innovative dialogues. Eligibility Criteria:

The program accepts candidates from a variety of backgrounds, such as:

  • Alumni of the Humboldt Foundation: Scholars who are employed outside of Germany.
  • Junior Researchers: scholars in their early careers or PhD candidates (PhD finished within four years).
  • Civil society actors: include social entrepreneurs, journalists, artists, and other non-academic professionals.

Candidates must show through their projects or work that they have a deep link to the future of food subject. We strongly encourage applications from people who are creative and imaginative.
