Candidates who wish to pursue a PhD in Canada have an amazing opportunity because of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Scholarship 2025. Eligibility Criteria:

For the candidate to be eligible for the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Scholarship in 2025, they must meet the following requirements:

  • The candidate must be accepted or enrolled full-time in a PhD program for the first or second year.
  • The topic of study should be particularly pertinent to Canada’s future and have a strong connection to the humanities, social sciences, or human sciences.
  • At least one doctoral thesis must address one of the Foundation’s four themes: People and their Natural Environment, Canada and the World, Responsible Citizenship, or Human Rights and Dignity.
  • Accessible to permanent residents of Canada, foreign nationals studying overseas, and Canadian citizens enrolled in graduate programs at domestic or foreign universities.

Application Process:

  • Ensure that you meet all the prerequisites for eligibility, which include enrolling in a full-time PhD program and working on a project related to the Foundation’s topics.
  • As soon as the competition opens, register on the Foundation’s application page. If you have already applied, use the same email address and select “Forgot password” as opposed to creating a new one.
  • Assemble the required documentation.
  • Complete the online application available on the Foundation’s website.
  • To be eligible to participate in the 2025 Scholarship Competition, fill out the registration form and send it in.
  • Upload any documents that are required, including personal statements and proof of enrollment for the PhD program.
