Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for a scholarship from the Saïd Foundation, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
- Possess an undergraduate degree that meets or exceeds the requirements for a UK 2:1 degree. Final-year undergraduate candidates will also be taken into consideration.
- Possess relevant job and/or volunteer experience for their subject of study, as well as a well-defined professional path for when they graduate and return to their native nation or region.
- Show potential for leadership in the industry or field of their choice.
- Having submitted an application to a Foundation partner institution for a qualifying course (or have good cause to apply to a non-partner university).
- Language Requirements in English:
In order to be evaluated for a Saïd Foundation scholarship, applicants must fulfill the English language prerequisite, which is

- A minimum of 6.0 in each band and a minimum of 6.0 overall on the IELTS.
- The Duolingo test is also acceptable; for comparable scores, please refer here. The TOEFL iBT test requires a minimum of 20 in each band and an overall minimum score of 80.
- Candidates must also fulfill the English language criteria of their selected university, as some universities have stricter standards (for more information, please click this link).
Application Process:
- To be eligible for a scholarship from the Saïd Foundation, you must submit your online application together with the necessary papers.
- Your application must be sent with all supporting documentation.
- After submitting, the only papers you will be able to present are your English language test results and university offers or proof that you applied to the courses you selected (if applications are not available until after October 31). Uploading these files to the online application portal is required.
