Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarships 2025-26 For International Students:

Applications are being accepted for Hungary’s Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarships 2025–2026. Applications for Hungarian Government Scholarships are open to all international students worldwide. For all students pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, or non-degree programs at Hungary’s top universities, the government offers fully funded scholarships. The scholarship is available for the 2025–2026 school year.

Under Hungary Government Scholarships 2024, students can pursue undergraduate or graduate degree programs in nearly every academic discipline and major. English will be used to teach all of the programs. The Hungarian government will pay for all of the costs.

The Hungarian government introduced the Stependum Hungricum Scholarship Program in 2013 to give international students the chance to continue their higher studies in Hungary. The program’s primary goals are to boost the number of international students studying in Hungary and to motivate Hungarian universities to draw in outstanding international students.

The three-cycle degree structure (Bachelor, Master’s, and Doctoral programs) offered by the Scholarship Program offers full degree and partial study opportunities, primarily in English. Other foreign language study programs are also offered under the Stendium Hungricum Scholarship Program. In order to continue their higher education in Hungarian, students can also enroll for a one-year Hungarian language preparation training course.

Both the number of scholarship spots offered and the number of applications to Stipendium Hungaricum are steadily rising. Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must fulfill the following requirements in order to be considered for the Hungarian Government Scholarship:

  • The scholarship is open to all international applicants.
  • Scholarships are not available to Hungarian citizens or those who hold dual nationality with Hungary.
  • Students who will be older than 18 on August 31, 2025.
  • Applicants who are self-financed and not enrolled in any higher education institution in Hungary.
  • Students who have previously received this scholarship are not eligible to apply again.
