Financial Benefits:

  • A monthly payment of up to €930 is available to you.

  • Scholarships are given out for two semesters, or one year, with the option to reapply.
  • The grant period may be extended to three years in extraordinary circumstances.

  • Academic Summary:
    • Candidates for the Bachelor’s or State Examinations: STiNE printout of the current transcript or “Leistungskonto”
    • PhD or master’s degree holders: most current transcript of grades for a degree (in German or English)
  • Two assessments were provided by doctorate-holding full-time teaching staff members at Universität Hamburg.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • You have to be a foreign student, not a citizen of Germany.
  • For the majority of programs, you must be enrolled in Universität Hamburg for a minimum of two semesters.
  • For students enrolled in two-year Master’s programs and doctoral researchers, one semester
  • In Germany, you are not qualified for the federal student loan program.
